Note: NS Records are not used to change the DNS of a domain. If you are looking to change your nameservers to connect to a third party host, visit our article How do I change the nameservers for my domain? Any changes that you make to your Advanced DNS settings can interrupt your service. If you are not an advanced user, we strongly recommend that you not change these settings without consulting our support department.
To create NS records please follow these steps:
Login to your account and select Domain Manager.
Click directly on your domain name to access the domain editing page.
On the domain editing page, select the DNS tab.
Scroll down to Manage Advanced DNS Records and click on New Advanced DNS Manager.
Tables can't be imported directly. Please insert an image of your table which can be found here.
To add an NS record, click the button to Add New Record.
Set the Record Type as NS. Fill in the Alias and Record fields as instructed by your hosting service provider. You can leave the TTL as it is. Click the green button to Save.
To edit an existing NS record, click the Edit button update the Host and/or Points To field, as instructed by your hosting service provider.
You can leave the TTL as it is. Click the green button to Save.
Note: If your domain was already set to Park with Basehost, Forward Domain, or Host with Basehost, these records should take about 1 hour to propagate. If your domain was previously set to Use Third Party Hosting, updates can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate worldwide, though we find it's typically much closer to 6-12 hours.
