SRV records are resource records used to identify servers and computers that host specific services. To create SRV records please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Basehost account and select Domain Manager.
Step 2.
Click directly on your domain name to access the domain editing page.
Step 3.
On the domain editing page, select the DNS tab.
Scroll down to Manage Advanced DNS Records and click on New Advanced DNS Manager.

Step 4.
To add an SRV record, click the button to Add New Record.
Set the Record Type as SRV. Fill in the Service, Protocol, Name, Port, Weight, Priority, and Target fields as instructed by your hosting service provider. You can leave the TTL as it is. Click the green button to Save.
To edit an existing SRV record, click the Edit button and update the fields as instructed by your hosting service provider.
You can leave the TTL as it is. Click the green button to Save.
Note: If your domain was already set to Park with Basehost, Forward Domain, or Host with Basehost, these records should take about 1 hour to propagate. If your domain was previously set to Use Third Party Hosting, updates can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate worldwide, though we find it's typically much closer to 6-12 hours.
